1587 was designed as a sprayable, flexible, solvent based, rubber-base seam sealer used to replicate OEM beads and textures. Used for sealing joints, spot welded seams, weather strips, trunk seams, cowl seams, hood seams, etc. It is permanently flexible and paintable once product has skinned over. Being solvent based, you can feather edge it with solvent.
